The Importance of Software Updates in the Automotive Environment
Software updates need to be much more carefully tuned because of the kinetic reality of the moving automobile. You don't want that update executing while you're driving down the road at 60 miles an hour. Charles touched upon a couple of points, one being the supply chain. We've learned through some of the cyber attacks that even the software supply chain protection isn't enough. It looks for anything within the build or the source code that could have been compromised.
