Leopold and the International African Association

Leopold and his family lived in a chateau on the outskirts of Brussels, but that wouldn't do. The Royal Palace was transformed into a residence for Leopold's guests. At the end of the weekend, men in attendance voted to establish the International African Association. In actuality, the organization fizzled after its bombastic inauguration.
