The Pursuit of Knowledge for Its Own Sake
I think that when I was in fundraising in the universities, we talked a lot about the university should be the places where scientists can continue to find funding for something that doesn't immediately have like a commodification plan. And even then in universities, it's becoming, you know, harder and harder and harder. That's the kind of research that it's not exactly a one to one, but paleontology is a little bit different. It's broader and it's intended to serve a different purpose.
