Are We Just Looking to Do Something That's Too Difficult?

Futurist says we need to be realistic when it comes to self driving cars. We don't understand how humans, how the human mind processes, process uch such a thing that well, so are we being like, incredibly hubristic to think that we can design machine that can handle all this? He thinks academics bear a responsibility to notify the public when perhaps technology is kind of escaping the barn a little homely before it's been properly ibetded. And indeed, i think that's what's happened here, is that we've got some basic research technologies that have been overhiped by silicon valley and by some other academics.
