The pollution paradigm has three main elements. The first and most important of which is a focus on greenhouse gas emissions per se. And the second one is that agents have extensive control over their emissions. Third assumption is that emissions reductions are seen as costly burdens. But if we take a more holistic view, then we can see that tackling climate change might produce a whole bunch of other benefits.
