Satho's Influence on the Middle East
Satho was a Greek poet who wrote in the Aolic Greek dialect. She is said to have been born into a well-stoof family and had three brothers. Very little is known about her personal life, but she married a rich merchant from Naxos. Satho founded a school of music and poetry for upper-class women on Lesbos. Her influence over her students was such that they loved her with true devotion.
