The War on Drugs

I think it is a perfectly legitimate use of the US military to secure our own border. I'm not one of these conservatives that just wants to sweep that under the rug. We have a demand side problem in this country too. Addressing the mental health epidemic has to be part of the conversation if we're actually concerned with addressing the demand side. But talking about legalization of Schedule 1 controlled substances that are far less addictive, far less dangerous than fentanyl. And at least in the context of veterans say who suffer from PTSD, giving them access to alternatives to address a demand side issue must be part of a solution.
