Walking is only one thing we do all day. It's only one piece of the pie. If you think about the entire energy budget, and how that compares to our ape relatives were actually not very efficient. We burn 20 % more energy every day than a chipbanzee. So by that measure, we're inefficient, right? We're sort of these gas gozline. Are really energy expensive. They burn a lot of calories. And so because of that, and other things too, we're physically active. For all those reasons, humans burn a lot more calories every day than other apes do.
