Is There a Lot of Athletes on Scholarship?

The majority of active athletes in college, I believe, are not on scholarship. It's a big thing if all you have to do is keep playing the sport that you probably really enjoy and may hope to grow pro on or transfer to a bigger school. Some places may have no academic scholarship, some places that may only be football or basketball. But like, there's no way the total is 6,300 in the United States. That's like the amount of scholarship athletes maybe in a large, medium or large state in the US.
