The Pros and Cons of Heritage Architecture
It's nice to see that, you know, people are bothering to have an opinion. I think we've got a pretty good track record in London of building new architecture alongside heritage architecture. But I can see where some of the opposition has come about with this. The claim that a cantilevered building directly on top of a heritage asset somehow preserves that asset is nonsense and sets a dangerous precedent. So I'm getting from that that they're not a huge fan of the planet. We've got some very well thought through arguments coming through from heritage groups, from well-placed figures in the industry. That's worth listening to.
