The Government's Alcohol Tax Changes
Today marks the biggest shake-up of alcohol taxes in a century, says Rishi Sunak. The tax you pay for beer on draft at pubs will be lower after Britain leaves EU. But we're also radically simplifying the system so that the lower the alcohol in a drink, the less tax you pay. It is going to affect the pub industry, the hospitality industry, especially from hotels to bars to restaurants. So they've put a tax on putting the price of a bottle of vodka up.
