Putin's Disagreement With the Military Leadership
Putin has effectively stamped out any threats from the left. In terms of opposition candidates, they are either in jail, dead, or have left the country. But does this show that he hasn't been as effective in stamping out potential rivalry from the right? Well, and I don't think he was looking at it actually. He wasn't really going after pre-gosion because pre-goding is his own guy. It's already happening with Ramzan Qadir of the leader of Chechnya.
