I remember I had you know my first exam I just wanted to turn some speakers on and some lights on my TV and I had an X10 IR blaster. It's amazing how far we've come from like just the X10 it was slow you had to be plugged in wired. So using home assistant I was looking for a platform and my friend said he hadn't even used it or tried it so I'll have a look at this thing okay I'll give it go. And then yeah try it out installed it and got it working and it just went from there now I've got like over thousands entities in my assistant.
