Is the Reliance on Global Supply Chains Unavoidable?

It's not just about america though, right? Like it is conceivable that the us. could, you know, by sheer brute force, just start manufacturing ship itself. But late, most countries aren't big enough to do that. If you canada or portugal or south africa, or something ik that, you're not going to be able to run some kind of an import substitution programme why your like, we're importing all hof our stuffs tat. We have to start making it domestically. You have to be reliant on global supply chains. So with that idependence comes fragility. There are just two sides of the same coin.
