Is There a Form of Survival After Death?
David Chalmers says he's sympathetic to the idea that there could be a level of consciousness associated with everything in the universe, but maybe most fundamentally, with the universe as a whole. On this view, year, local bits of consciousness would be blips on top of the universal mind and then presumably, on death, then we melt back into the universal mind. Is that exactly a form of survival after death? I don't know. But it certainly takes the sting out of death, or the fear ait gives you a bit more continuity with the e, i guess, the past and the future and consciousness elsewhere in the world.
