He explains that this form of communication combines the interconnected data streams of cognitive, emotional, and physical information that are always present in any conversation.

When we become attuned to these transmissions from others' nervous systems, and are consciously creating coherent transmissions from our own, we can establish a deep connection that's rich in intimacy and free from reactivity.
