The trillion dollar coin would be a way to legally get around the debth sealing. The treasury would print a trillion dollar coin and keep it somewhere, and then the country would borrow against that coin. Is this a a main stream idea at this point? I don't think so. i think they should make a really big coin, not a small coin. I think it has to be at least eight feet tall. Ah, there's also a the debate over the platinum coin minting.
