There's just a lot of biological plausibility there that as the brain is developing and you're developing all of these different receptors that being exposed to a substance like this would affect those areas. We know that it gets to the fetus. And then there's some studies that found that there's a little bit more aggression at certain ages and oddly skewed toward girls born to folks who used cannabis compared with those who didn't. How intense are these effects? They're measurable differences, but they're still within the range of normal, which makes, you know, you can imagine that makes it kind of complicated.
Many states have extremely punitive policies around cannabis and pregnancy. But researchers don't actually have great data on cannabis's harms.
