The Prostitute in the Book of Joshua

Joshua is subverting our expectations, right? Where did chapter one leave us? All right, we're ready. The armies of Israel are going to go invade the land. This is an utterly unnecessary chapter for the flow of the book. And so it's profound that here in chapter two, we're introduced to a prostitute named Rahab and we see this story of God's grace and his mercy for her.
