They might be extremely familiar with the proposition and so suffering from some kind of familiarity bias. Or their interests or desires or emotions could potentially be confounding factors responsible, at least in part, for their intuitions on the matter. Their prior beliefs might also be confounding factors partly productive of their intuitions. Oftentimes, certain framing effects take effect and the framing of questions can affect perhaps your intuitions about the matter. And my point here is just to be careful.
