The Indiab Study Shows That 31 Million Indians May Become Diabetic Between 2019 and 2021
Dr. Ravi Agrawal: 31 million Indians possibly became diabetic between 2019 and 2021. We now have potentially 101 million people of our 1.4 billion who have diabetes, he says. The ICMR India Diabetes Study took 15 years to be completed; there are wide interstate differences in the prevalence of diabetes,. hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity. He adds that when you're studying one state in India, it's probably bigger than studying whole of Europe.
