The Transition From Undergrad to Graduate
Communication needs to be made authentic at the undergraduate level. Most examiners are seeking to find out whether this particular student knows something about their subject. So they can write any sort of rubbies just as long as something bubbles out of it that seems to suggest they have a reasonable understanding or they know the subject of it is fine. But as soon as they get to the point of trying to do this in a scientific journal, in a learner journal, they suddenly realize that they can't just throw stuff together and hope that people will say, oh, yes, I think I can see what you mean. That's a transition I just don't make in most cases unless they seriously go
