Casper: At any time the treasury sellsa ond to the fed, that is monotizing the debt. But it doesn't sell the bond to the fed. It can't. It has to go through the banking system first. If the banking system wanted off their hands, well, then it would become a real assessment of us. Government creditworthiness at that point, right? I actually think it's the liquidity risk,. because that's the reason why banks are owning safe and liquid assets.
