The mother wanted a natural birth. The doctor who was attending her had already been somewhat threatening, continued to ramp up his threat. So as she told her sto ry, i sat with her, and i affirmed how difficult it was. And i watched the baby, and the baby didn't join in, did not cry, did not um. Sometimes babies will join in and tell their story, or they'll say, hey, wait a second. Can we have a break here? I mean, they don't say it like that. They'll usually will fuss or cry or fall asleep. But this baby just smiled and stayed with me with her arms out, and just watched and listened
