The Importance of Community Spirit in Ireland
In Ireland, we've still got a super realistic, empathetic population. We can never take it for granted. It's very hard to mythologize poor Ireland of the 1950s even though the far right would probably try and do it. I remember playing Croke Park, and they were brilliant phallasants. They were really so much energy. And you look at Bala Hadrian, you went, Jesus Christ. Towns like this, Ireland isn't full. But since coming back here, I do actually feel there is a difference in terms of people aren't as siloed. Absolutely.
