The RMT Strikes
The government is banking on public support or tolerance of the strikes to be eroded by annoyance. But one thing I've noticed about public opinion is that it's actually somewhat polarized on the strikes. There was a huge generational effect here, by the way. 51% of 18 to 24 year olds supported the strikes; 65% of over 65s opposed them. The age demographics that are least likely to use the rail on a daily basis and who don't currently work for a living appear to be most opposed.
