The Environmental Katastrophe of Livestock Farming
Livestock farming is one of the greatest causes of water pollution, air pollution and climate breakdown as well. The more extensive that livestock farming is the more damaging it is because of the sheer amount of land it requires to support it. There was a study in the United States saying what if we switched from grain fed cattle production to pasture fed cattle? And it looked at it in fact, oh, yes, we would have to raise the amount of land used to keep cattle by 270%. That would mean more than the entire surface area in the U.S.
