Language Learners Should Be Self-Compassionate

I think it's really easy to feel defeated when we have such a big broad goal as becoming fluent. I just think being perfectionistic or talking to ourselves negatively can cause so much harm. It wasn't until I learned to treat myself like a human being who I care about that I was able to maintain consistency and actually just have fun while learning.
