Is the Government Trying to Make Short Term Decisions?
In the past year, attendances for child malnutrition has doubled in some areas. The most recent increase in child obesity is the biggest increase since they started measuring child obesity in 2006 to 7. And it's they now think about a quarter of 11-year-olds or obese which is just shocking. Good nutrition and reducing obesity levels is a huge part of sustainable child health care. It's really concerning and very representative of the government's attitude to policy that they're just making these short term policy decisions that we know are not going to help in the long term.
