The Importance of Vocabulary Lists

Word lists are practical and efficient. They list down the most common words used in everyday speech. Word lists can also often give additional information regarding a word. It's still much better to learn new words by consuming media and content in your target language. However, I don't think that it's fair to write off vocabulary lists as boring or ineffective.
