Building a Database of Players
Every scout has a different strength, and so it is about figuring out what you're really good at. To me, the thing that is most beneficial is having built up a database of players to be able to fall back on. I think they're instrumental in terms of the evaluation process. Having done it longer period of time, you can go back and look through your notes when they were coming out.
