They are playful and they play at all, but just like hunter-gatherer cultures, play at the kinds of skills that are important for them to learn. We cannot get into a child's mind even if we had a one-to-one teacher, student ratio,. The idea that we have to force children to learn by coercing them has nothing to do with what we think of as education.
