Is This Really a Meme Stock?

Hudson Bay Capital, a hedge fund, along with other investors worked out this deal to save the company from bankruptcy. It's an interesting trade that reminds me of what happened with AMC when it wasn't preferred stock by individual investors. The whole thing strikes me as vaguely tragic, but this is really the farce goal part.
