The Importance of Questioning Assumptions

i recognized the importance of questioning assumptions really early in my life, when i wask aged 15. I just saw that a lot of science, a lot of religion, was filled with assumptions. And this made me suspicious, first of religion and then of science. See, it's much easier to see the false assumptions of religion. It's harder to see the assumptions of science. That takes more intelligence, that takes a deeper level of contemplation. Most people spend their lives avoiding, actively avoid this kind of self reflection for fear of collapsing their finite sense of self.
