Warren Anderson Is Free on $2,000 Bail
Union Carbide CEO Warren Anderson was arrested after a gas leak in Bo-Paul, India. He is charged with coppable homicide not amounting to murder and criminal conspiracy. American diplomats believed today's charges were a political move aimed at winning votes at India's national elections later this month. U.S. embassy officials were tested to the Indian government before they could free Anderson.
