The Relevance of Science to Living a Good Life

I wouldn't have written a book if I didn't feel like psychology had interesting things to tell us about questions that matter a lot. How much can we trust our memories? How does language work? Even the questions which have become quite urgent these days with the dawn of AI and whatever revolution we're now going through, I think psychology has a lot to say about it. On the other hand, I try to be honest in the book. A lot of our findings are not as robust as we thought they were. And I still believe you could learn a lot more from a good novel or a good TV series or a good movie from a psychology textbook.
