Is Biden on the Roof?

Biden's health is going to fail as soon as the election's over. If Kamala becomes president before Biden's term is over, that opens the vice presidency. I thought we were already past that and I thought the Democrats own the Senate no matter what. The news I read is opposite of the news you're reading. What's happening? Did I read it wrong?
