The consent as absolutely necessary for the gift of self, which is really kind of what marriage signifies about the relationship of Christ in the church. And I think that's what a lot of what Pope John Paul II theology of the body is, is concentrating on is that language of the gift. The witnessing priest is somehow indirectly a minister of the sacrament also. But insofar as he's witnessing on behalf of God, um, now he's not as, he's not a necessary minister, certainly not.
