Mark Whitaker: It's just far easier to hire 25 year olds who don't know anything but have strong opinions about everything. But then a story comes along that either requires legal expertise, and they're asking what an FEC report is or how you read it. And that didn't used to happen. He says part of the problem today is to the extent that we're seeing young reporters do real reporting, there's no sort of foundation of knowledge in many cases.Whitaker: What if we're the bad guys? I think it's a really interesting, rorshocky test of how one views American society.
