You write out uber's problems under calanic, including a toxic work culture. So you end up leaving uber for lift, their smaller rival. But calinic, the ceo, was ultimately kicked out of the company by the board. It struck me that when you're scaling up, the people in charge of the scaling are very often not, as you put it, aware of power in balances because they are the power.
