How Controversy Sells Resentment

I can't think of a single non mainstream progressive intellectual who had risen to fame in the last 10 years without it being on controversy. Controversy sells resentment sells and I guess you wouldn't think it does. Like, people may not even see articles designed to be hate shared as such. It was really weird to read that book and then like see this happen because reading that book, I was like, well, I like our theory.
