We will do thing to remove ourselves from uncomfortable emotions and experiences. It's almost a survival mechanism, right? And we'll create these whole branches of our lives that ultimately are built on running away from something. Could be an experience that trigged and emotion or recur iexperience that keeps coming back again and again and again. But i also think there's cause for optimism there, which is that if you can identify those patterns, then you might stop the stuff that's causing you all these problems.
