An older woman who hasn't produced children would be in a singularly unenviable position, i think. And we tend not to hear about them thhit's almost like they disappear off the raider. In north africa, older people are extremely common on inscriptions. Or rather, ages are stated more commonly for older people in north africa. Lots of good evidence.
