This is a very, very old thing, much older than the term political correctness. George Orwell wrote a lot about it. Votsalve Havel wrote about it. If you go back far enough, you'll find that if you look deeply enough, you know, Machiavelli,. You know, but my only point is that this general approach of trying to Kobayashi Maru debates by rigging the language is in no way new.
