The History of Maintenance and Innovation
It's interesting in reading this history that an appreciation of maintenance has often been at odds with a focus on innovation, which is only so accelerated. Both of these kind of came to the fore during the industrial revolution and technologies that came out of that. So I just find that very interesting and curious that while they sort of emerge in some ways in tandem, they somehow seem in contradiction with each other.
