The Effects of IVIG Plus Glucocorticoids on Cardiac Outcomes

This study looked at the effectiveness of initial therapy with IVIG plus glucocorticoids compared to just IVIG alone. And so this is probably some of the first legitimate evidence we have that what we're doing may work. Now, there's a lot of variables in there in terms of whether or not we were receiving adjunctive biologic therapy and we also see a significant heterogeneity in what institutions are doing for the maybe not so straightforward cases. But I think it gives us confidence that what we are doing is probably beneficial to children. And quite frankly, with Miss C, that's what we need right now.
