Porsche's 924 Program Wins Le Mans
Reinhold Urest had a 908, which I do believe was the target florio winner from 1970 that he raced and continued to race beyond that time. But for political reasons, they had to call it a 90880. And he very nearly won Le Mans with a rather special driver. He had on loan from the factory, Jackie X. So, you know, that was one of the rare years of that era when Porsche sort of didn't have an outright contender at Le Mans run from or a factory team. This was sort of their way to try and get another win.
