Can You Shoot Free Throats?

I've always been fascinated by how somebody can be so good that they can get all the way to the nba, but they can't shoot free throats. A mba is about almost being good at one thing, because you're going to have a lot of super stars. The same goes for baseball. I don't understand how you focus on baseball all the time and then pitchers can't hit. It just blows my mind.
