Is There a Hellenistic View of the Afterlife?

Paul is willing to use resurrection and usually resurrection. Is that difficence essentially from maybe a traditional Jewish understanding of the afterlife that maybe Paul was raised with? "Even if you were an immortal resuscitated corpse, you haven't escaped the whole world"
