Stephen King's first books are all like, what if books? And that's why they're so good. What if a teenage girl developed telekinesis when she got her period? What if there was a super flu that killed 99.5% of the population and the survivors had to rebuild society? The thing that gets emitted in the movie is like the serial killer story which is surprisingly on point for this book.
